Beef and Onion Stir Fry

Beef and Onion Stir Fry is a savoury dish that brings together thinly sliced beef and caramelized onions, all quickly stir-fried to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 small onions
  • 1 400g flank / rump steak(thinly sliced against the grain)
The Marinade
  • ½ tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp veg oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
The Sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • ½ tsp dark soy sauce
  • Juice of half orange

Method

Chop the onions into thick slices. Thinly slice the steak and flatten with the side of your cleaver.

Marinade

Place the sliced steak in a bowl with the marinade ingredients and massage through. Let that sit for a few hours if possible, to tenderize the meat. If you don’t have time, crack on!
